🚫 Bypassing Microsoft Account & Internet Requirement
Windows 11 normally forces you to sign in with a Microsoft account and connect to the internet.
Below are two proven methods to bypass this and create a local account.
✅ Method 1: OOBE\BYPASSNRO Command (Most Common)
This method tricks Windows into thinking there is no internet connection.
Steps:
- When you reach the "Let's connect you to a network" screen:
- Press Shift + F10
(If that doesn’t work, try Shift + Fn + F10) - In the Command Prompt, type exactly:
oobe\bypassnro - Press Enter.
- Your PC will restart automatically.
- You’ll return to the country/region selection screen.
- Make sure:
- Ethernet cable is unplugged
- Wi-Fi is turned off
- Continue setup until you reach the network screen again.
- Click "I don't have internet".
- Click "Continue with limited setup".
- Create your local username and password 🎉
✔️ Works on Windows 11 Home and Pro
✅ Method 2: start ms-cxh:localonly Command (Newer)
If Method 1 is blocked or patched, this method skips straight to local account creation.
Steps:
-
When prompted for:
- Network connection or
- Microsoft account login
-
Press Shift + F10.
-
In the Command Prompt, type:
start ms-cxh:localonly -
Press Enter.
-
A local account creation window will appear immediately.
-
Enter:
- Username
- Password
- Security questions
✔️ No reboot required ✔️ Works even if Microsoft patches Method 1
🎯 Step 5: Final Setup
- Choose privacy settings.
- Let Windows finalize the setup.
- You’ll land on the Windows 11 desktop.
✅ Installation Complete!
You’ve successfully installed Windows 11 and bypassed the Microsoft account requirement using a local account.
